The Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract has offered exemplary financial support to the Foundation in its creation to initiate its efforts to build a strong, permanent funding base for its research and education programs. The Foundation is most grateful to the Society and its leadership for that commitment.
Equally important to the success of the Foundation to date has been the generosity of the SSAT membership. The Officers and Board of Directors members have been leaders by example in personally contributing and then fostering further financial commitments to the Foundation. The SSAT Foundation has enjoyed support from members well beyond the norm for newly founded organizations. This support is deeply appreciated.
The Foundation seeks the universal financial support of all Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract members. Your donation to the Foundation benefits the organization in a variety of vital ways. First, and foremost, your giving provides funds to the Foundation for research and education purposes. In this way, you are advancing our knowledge and ultimately benefiting the specialty as a whole and our patients as well. Second, your support is helping our best and brightest to advance their knowledge and capabilities. You are helping our young surgeons in the same fashion that your mentors and teachers assisted you as a young surgeon. Finally, your gift provides a compelling argument to Industry to offer their support to the Foundation.
